Pradeep Menon from Lucida, India and 2 friends hunted the locations required for Anna Fox’s Puliklali shoot in the small town of Thrissur. Around the edges of the town were a number of village communities many of which had their own Pulikali team of up to 50 or 60 men all of whom would be fully painted as various wild cats for the Pulikali festival – part of Onam (Harvest Festival). Numerous local families helped us and gave us tea, use of bathrooms and places to sit out of the rain – this house had a fantastic hand made mural. Selected portraits to follow soon.
